L’Etoile Sport is a luxurious but functional effortlessly chic line that can be worn on the court and off - and needed a brand that could reflect the glamour and sophistication of the clothing. The logo is inspired by the translation of L’Etoile as ‘the star’, and the crosshatching takes cues from the tennis net. We designed a mark that communicates simplicity and elegance, a theme woven into the entire brand through secondary type and color. The slab serif is a modern edit of a historical typeface that nods to the 1930s. To bring the brand to life, we art-directed a photoshoot, designed packaging and a lookbook, and created an elegant website using Shopify for ecommerce and Wordpress as a CMS.

Non Je Ne Regrette Rien
An illustrative ode to Edith Piaf. "Non Je Ne Regrette Rien" was her last, and arguably most famous song. I was especially fascinated by her use of hands while singing - there is hardly a photograph of her without some use of gesture to push the sound from her body.
